Castaways

Castaways is a tween / family puppet sit com and has garnered Development Funding from both RTE and Screen Ireland. The Fitzgerald family are accidently marooned 300 years in the past, that past being 2024! The tone is cheeky and fun with lots of banter and physical gadgetry, but difficult emotions and climate action feature too. Mum is an AI scientist, Dad, an inventor, Afric (16) a reluctant social media hit, Ace (12) a budding film maker and Fern (7) is adorable but not all she first appears to be. Grandad is along for the ride too… it was his time machine that got them stranded. And Beanz, their robot dog, completes the family. The two big picture drivers are their efforts to return to 2324, (a world ravaged by climate change) if that fails they want to change the future and save us all!
